5 Tips that show you How to Write Awesome Emails
How to write awesome emails? Many times I have been asked the question. How can we create appealing emails to get people to open them and click on the link? It is a great question, and it's one I think about a lot. I've sent a lot of emails in my career. It's been over 20 years, and I've sent way more than 10,000 email broadcasts. I've had great success, and I've had some that didn't work so well.
Why do You have to deliver value?
So the number one thing you have to do is you have to deliver value. Even if you're selling something, you have to deliver on what you promised. That is why it is so important to learn how to write awesome emails.
When people have joined your list, you have a contract with them. You said, "I'm going to send you something," when they've joined your list, when they came to your opt-in page, to your squeeze page and they enter their email address, there's an implied contract that you are going to give them what you promised them. And what you promised them, there's probably some amount of value there. So when people first join your list, that's when they're most likely to open your emails.
The most important part of your email sequence
The first few emails are the most important. In these first emails,You must convince your subscriber it was worth it joining your list. If they click on something, you have to deliver value.
Avoid Click-Bait Subject Lines
Don't try to entice them or trick them, into opening an email, or clicking on a link, and then giving them something different. Don't do click-baits, because you'll only be able to get away with that one time, and then they're not going to open your emails anymore.Say your subject line shouts:" Make 100 a day easy", but when they open the email, you are pushing some expensive Video software with an affiliate link in the end and NO clue in the email HOW they can use the software to achieve the results promised in the Headline. That is the way to get hit by unsubscribes and ZERO click
Proofread Your Email
You send emails because you want to communicate your knowledge. You want to sell or persuade the receiver. The quickest way to lose your audience is to send an email full of mistakes and spelling errors. You want to come across as proffesional and trustworthy. Take the time to spell-check your email. Format it correctly.
How to write awesome emails:what no one tells you.
If you want to learn how to write awesome emails, you have to get good at writing both parts: the subject line and the body. But at the end of the day, the most important thing is following through on that implied contract that you said, "If you gimme your email address, "I'm gonna give you something."And probably implied in that is I'm going to give you some value. Doesn't mean you can't sell. Doesn't mean you shouldn't sell. I sell all the time.
But at the end of the day, the most important thing is following through on that implied contract that you assumed, "If you gimme your email address, I'm gonna give you something of value."
I sell millions of dollars of my products and other people's products through emails. But you have to do it in a way that builds trust, that builds authority, that builds rapport. There's no shortcut to this. You can use email subject lines that will get you massive open rates, but they're fundamentally dishonest, or untruthful, or disingenuous. If you use them, you're not going to continue to get the clicks. So it's like any relationship.Like if you have a relationship and you continue to build value within that relationship, that relationship will flourish.
