I am not a big spender. But since I am going on the most important trip of my life, I splurged and bought a bunch of stuff on Amazon.I only bought stuff I considered essentials.
I spent over two hundred dollars. It was my largest purchase in the last three years.

8 Essential travel items for digital nomads.

MAXAH Universal Travel Wall Charger Adapter.

When you are going on a working trip overseas, a universal power adapter is a must. Nothing throws a monkey wrench into your nomad work trip plans faster than to find out your laptop adapter is NOT compatible with the local electrical outlets.I picked the Maxah Universal Travel Plug Power Adapter. It comes with 3 USB+1 Charging Ports with Built-in Surge Protector. It works in over 150 countries including EU,UK,AU and USA.

Comfortable,classy clothes.

The new trend in Airline Economy traveling is fares that do not include check-in baggage. What it means for you as a traveler is that an essential part of your nomad travel gear is packing VERY FEW clothes, something more doable if you are a man.

You could just pack a few pieces of underwear, a couple of slacks, three shirts, and a tie. The trick is packing casual clothes that would look good in a business meeting or a work dinner, but comfortable enough to wear while slaving away on your Laptop.

My pick for an all-weather casual shirt is the Polo Ralph Lauren Men's Hampton Cotton Jersey Shirt. Since it is 100% cotton, It will keep you looking good and comfy, no matter where you are or what you are doing in your Nomad Trip. This kind of clothing is a must-have in your "8 essential travel items for digital nomads" kit.

"When you are going on a working trip overseas, the most important item in your 8 Essential Travel items for Digital Nomads List is an Universal Power Adapter."

As far as slacks, I will go for anything that will keep me looking sharp, is comfortable to wear and will stay wrinkle-free. My Pick: Haggar Men's Premium No Iron Khaki Slim Fit Flat Front Casual Pants. Tailored with khaki clothe, this inexpensive slack will get you through your work trip in comfort and style.

Travel Scale - another "8 Essential items for Digital Nomads" must-have.

One of the most unexpected(and expensive) things that can occur to you when traveling by air is finding out that your luggage is over the weight limits.

American Airlines, for example, will hit you with a $100 penalty if a suitcase weights in over 50 pounds. To make matters even more confusing, airlines now have weight limits for carry-on luggage too, and different airlines have different weight limits and different penalties for going over the limits.

That is why, as a digital nomad, you have to know for sure, even before you hit the airport, that your Check-in and Carry-on luggage are compliant with the airline's size and weight restrictions.

That is why, for my upcoming trip, I added a Travel Scale to my Nomad Travel List. With a sticker price under $15, It is very cheap insurance against shocking surprises at the airline counter. I went for the Letsfit Digital Luggage Scale, 110lbs Hanging Baggage Scale with Backlit LCD Display.

An easy to use clear backlit LCD with data locking, make easy work of weighting all your luggage. It is graded in Kgs and also Pounds. You can preset the weight limit, so the scale warns you if your luggage is over the limit, which allows you peace of mind when traveling. Once you have used it, it is easy to store away in your handbag or purse since it is so small and light. The travel scale is a must-have in our "8 Essential Travel items for the Digital Nomads" List.

Passport Holder Travel Wallet

The one thing that will bring your Nomad trip to a screeching halt is losing your Passport. You don't want to keep your passport in your shirt or slack pockets, where you can easily drop it or misplace it.
It is also a bad idea, to have in your handbag, mixed with dozens of items, so you have to fumble around to find it.

I added the RFID Blocking Passport Holder Travel Wallet to my "8 Essential Travel Items for Digital Nomads" because it is classy, inexpensive, and durable.
In this holder, you can safely stash not only your passport but also other vital "can't lose" items like your credit cards, and airline boarding pass. The holder has 4 pockets big enough for two passports, boarding pass, etc and three slots for your Credit Cards.

Anker 60W 6 Port USB Charging Station

Nowadays everybody travels with a mix of Smartphones, Ipads, Laptops and other electronics. All these gadgets are indispensable to keep in touch and get our digital work done.Sadly, our battery-powered friends eat up their power cells at a fast clip, and we need to keep them charged. The USB Wall Charger, Anker 60W 6 Port USB Charging Station makes short work of keeping your electronics charged 100%. This 6 USB port charger fits iPhone Xs/Max/XR/X/8/7/Plus.It also fits  iPad Pro/Air 2/Mini/iPod, Galaxy S9/S8/S7/Edge/Plus, Note, LG, HTC, and More.

The Anker 60W uses Advanced Power Technology combining PowerIq and VoltageBoost.Since it pumps out 60 watts, it lets you charge several devices simultaneously. Your digital toys will never be short on power with this other "8 Essential travel items for digital nomads" item.

Trtl Pillow Neck Support Travel Pillow

Do you know what stinks about traveling for hours on end on an airplane or  a bus? Well,You have to sit stiff, and when you arrive, your neck is all sore.
Not fun at all!! That is why the
Trtl Pillow - Scientifically Proven Super Soft Neck Support Travel Pillow had to have a place in my "8 Essential Travel Items for Digital Nomads" List.

I picked The TRTL PILLOW because it is hard to get work done if you are all beat and sore after a trip. After all, as a Digital Nomad, you have to be productive and enjoy yourself at the same time.It helps you keep your head in a better position when sleeping upright by holding your head in an ergonomic position to help you arrive rested. It has unique hidden internal support, made with extra soft fleece plus extra cushioning that creates a comfortable resting place for your neck and head.

Seagate Portable 4TB External Hard Drive

I keep filling up my Budget Laptop's Hard Drive since I shoot 30-40 Gibaytes a day of footage for my Youtube Channel. So this External Seagate Portable 4TB External Hard Drive has plenty of room to keep up with my whole work trip. You do not to install extra software with this kind of drives. You just plug it in and you are ready to go,no matter if your Laptop is Mac or Windows.

Fire HD 8 Tablet (8" HD Display, 32 GB)

A trip cannot be all work and no fun. I can get more done when I take time out for a little relaxation. Noting better for that than a Fire HD 8 Tablet (8" HD Display, 32 GB), all loaded up with my favorite movies and games, for those boring hours on a plane or a train with nothing to do.

With 8" HD display, 16 or 32 GB of internal storage (up to 400 GB with microSD), and a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, this little tablet is up to the task of keeping me entertained. I hope I will not spend too much time on it, otherwise, I will not get much work done. This little tablet much deserves its place in our 8 Essential Travel items for Digital Nomads List.
